Methamphetamine (commonly called "crank", "ice", "crystal", "meth", "tina", "glass",
and "yaa baa" (Thailand) has almost the same structure as amphetamine
and methcathinone. Amphetamine is also called "speed". It's often illicitly
produced with the reduction of ephedrine or pseudoephedrine. Nowadays you can find
necessary products and chemicals on the market and as allergy or cold treatment
medicine.
The fact important for those who are likely to or are going to pass test on meth:
if you use diet pills containing ephedrine you will get false positive result on
meth test. It happens because ephedrine, pseudoephedrine and ephedra have the similar
formula to the formula of meth.
Methamphetamine can cause addiction which usually occurs when a person uses the
drug as a stimulant to enhance effects on pleasure and sex, alertness and ability
to concentrate. Later the effectiveness of meth use decreases, and the user decides
that he needs to take higher doses to get the same results.
